✨🩻If you have these two “dimples” on your lower back, here’s what they really mean. 😮🔍These small natural marks intrigue many people 👀💡, but their origin could be much simpler than we imagine. 🤔✨And you, do you have these dimples?👇💬

A legacy of beauty in history and culture.
The name “Venus dimples” does not come from medicine, but from Roman mythology. Venus, goddess of love and beauty, inspired this poetic term used for centuries to evoke certain physical features considered harmonious.

In the collective imagination, these dimples have sometimes been associated with aesthetics or sensuality. Yet, science reminds us of one essential fact: there is no link between this feature and characteristics such as charm, vitality, or personality. Beauty remains a profoundly subjective and cultural notion.
Should you be worried if you have them?

In the vast majority of cases, lumbar dimples are completely benign and require no medical examination. They are present from birth or appear at puberty, and then remain stable throughout life.

The only situation that may require special attention concerns the so-called “sacral” dimples, located in the center of the lower back. When they are deep or accompanied by other unusual signs (tuft of hair, redness, discharge), medical advice may be recommended, especially in children. However, these cases remain rare.

Can we make them appear or disappear?

It is impossible to artificially create Venus dimples. They depend on the natural structure of the pelvis and tissues. However, their visibility can change. Fluctuations in weight, muscle development in the buttocks, or a change in posture can make them more or less apparent.

Some cosmetic or surgical procedures exist, but they remain rare and purely optional. In most cases, the body simply reveals them… or not.
